Hello, I am Mia
Project manager. Parent. Expat living in Berlin, Germany.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to Germany wasn't in the cards for the long run. As with many expat relocations, it started as a job chance and soon grew into something far more substantial.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, routines, expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Period
Culture shock, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning were present. Yet, gradually routines took shape. We found places that fit our needs, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
Why I Built Selwex Nalort Ivqe
Most online guidance tended to be corporate relocation tips or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was genuine, everyday family insight.
This site aims to bridge that gap with practical advice grounded in real life in Germany.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in Germany
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site isn't:
- A tourism-authority resource
- A sponsored-review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our stay in Germany continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I will continue recording what we find.
If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Best regards,
Mia
